Factors That Influence Tree Removal Pricing
Size of the tree - As you can probably imagine, you can expect to pay a lower price for a tree that is smaller in diameter and is shorter. A tree that is only 25 feet tall will cost much less to remove than one that is 80 feet high.
Location of the tree - Cutting down a tree that is an open area with no obstructions will reduce the cost greatly. On the other hand if the tree to be cut is very close to a structure such as a house, garage, road, or power lines, it can be much more tricky to bring down safely and therefore will require more planning safety measures, equipment, and thus will cost more.
Difficulty of access - A tree that is growing into the side of a hill or other sloped area or is difficult to get to with equipment, vehicles, etc. will cause more time and labor and can therefore increase the cost associated with the tree removal project.
Services required - You may opt to have the tree service come in and cut the tree down safely, but leave it lay for you to cut and clean up. This is a much less expensive option for you. However if you also want us to do the tree cutting, hauling away of the wood, removal and clean up of limbs and debris, and possibly even removal of the stump, these items all add to the total tree removal cost estimate.
Timing - In some rare cases, it may be deemed an emergency, or urgent matter that the tree be brought down immediately. If the tree removal pro needs to come after hours or on weekends, this can also be a factor in determining the cost.
